Seventeen Days and Counting......

Yes, it's getting close again. Not only to surgery, but to traveling to Houston for prep and the big day. I will be flying out to Houston on Tuesday. May 11th and checking into the hospital on Friday, 14th. Since this is a very bloody surgery, the Dr.'s must first embolize the blood source to the spine prior to surgery. If all goes according to Hoyle, we will be in surgery Monday morning (17th) to remove as much tumor as possible from the spine (T3) and insert a metal rod.

Bionic Kelly!! Metal plates in my head, hip & spine!?! Seriously......what more could a girl ask for?
Bionic Boobies! (She said with a wink and a smile). And just to clarify, for all my sisters' “bloggers”, as much as I would like and need a new pair, at this time, unfortunately I have some other pressing matters I must resolve first :)

Theresa is baby-sitting me upon arrival on Tuesday and will stay until a few days after surgery. Marla is driving down to MD Anderson on Friday, and Char, David, Kathy (Theresa's sis), and my in-law's are all coming in on Sunday. Party Time.

Thanks again to everyone for sending good thoughts & prayers and to my very good friend Nicole who will continue to keep the blog updated. I appreciate the time and effort Nicole has offered to keeping my friends & family updated on my health. (Nic has 3 beautiful girls, that are in school, dance, scouts, parties, etc. and yet she still finds time for her friends!)

I am getting the jitters.........just a little bit. Seventeen days and counting.........

You've got the jitters because you are counting wrong. It's fourteen days and counting until you get to see ME. Focus, focus, focus.....

I'm so glad to see you updated your blog yourself! I feel slightly strange spewing out all the bloody stuff, not to mention making even the slightest hint of a joke.

That said, I agree with Marla - focus, focus, focus...on getting to Houston, getting through the surgery and recovery and then getting on to the boob job you so desperately want (and might I add, would definitely be a plus). I'll give you the visual -- think how great my boobs look now and that those too could be yours, for the small price of a successful surgery and recovery and about $10K.

Thank you for the kind words about my girls and me. You are a special friend who I'm greatful for each day. BTW -- add puppy owner to the mix. I finally succumbed to the pressure and we rescued a Coonhound/Rottweiler mix 9 week old puppy. Named him Floyd - after Pink Floyd. He smells, bites, and causes me to mix my workouts -- but he's loved. And very, very cute!

Love you!

Amazing what lengths some people will go to just to get room service...

All the best wishes for a speedy recovery Kelly... I guess it's probably not the best time to ask if you made a spare copy of my 'love connection' show. ;-)

Sending you much love and warm wishes from across the pond in London, UK.

Lee - I was thinking about you this week, how weird is that?!? Sorry, no copy of "love connection" show other than the memories. Good times. Thanks so much for keeping me in your thoughts & prayers, I will try to reconnect when I return home. Like to know about your life across the pond!
