Kelly has had two solid days of MRIs, Cat Scans, Blood Tests plus who knows what else. Tomorrow morning she will have OT at 8am followed by another MRI and then she will be officially released. Upside, she is out of the hospital. Downside, she is trapped in a hotel room for the next two days with me. Wahahahahaha!!
They removed her stitches this afternoon, so her look has deteriorated back to normal. This leaves me with very little material to bag on her appearance. All in all, it has been a great six weeks with my sister. She once again has come out smelling like a rose even though the odds were on her becoming a permanent stinkweed.
David arrives on Friday and he and Kelly fly home on Saturday. Bob picks me up on Friday night so we can head back to Oklahoma. I sure do miss my kids, grandkids, critters and even the Old Spaniard, as Sarah calls him.
Thanks for allowing me to keep you all updated …… not that you had much choice. Watch for my tell all book coming out later this year titled:
Kelly, Dearest: The Truth Behind The Legend

Woo hoo!!! Great news! I can't believe that you'll be back in California on Saturday - just an unbelievable recovery. Talk about bouncing back!
Sending many, many hugs your way.
And Marla, thank you for being the voice in all this. Your humor, sarcasm, wit and charm has taken the awful circumstances and made them easier for us bystanders to get through!
Be sure to keep us posted...no doubt the next two days in the hotel should provide for some great material.
I'm off to find a disco costume for Kevin - we are going to a 70's costume party. Kevin in a white-suit and platforms...can you see it? Nah...he can't either. But he's wearing it!
Love you!
Way to go Kell. Are you sure you are ready to leave? Or does the hospital staff just need a brake from you two. I mailed you an envlope today, not knowing of course that you would be getting out tomorrow, so who knows were it will end up. Have a safe trip home. I know you can't wait to get into your own bed. Lots of Love and have a safe trip home
Flying home on Saturday? Maybe I'll drive up on Sunday. Plop down on your couch for a week or so. You can entertain me, right?
PS:
Hey Nicole:
email me @ JLHoranIII@gmail.com - I'll tell you the story about being homeless.
I'm free Sunday too. Jim, let me know where you are parking your shopping cart and I can swing by and get you and I think we'd make fantastic company for a week at Casa de Sewart. Ask anyone, I'm a super low maintenance house guest. tee hee!
Kelly,
I heard through the old C&L grapevine (apparently it's still somewhat alive!) about your journey.
I'm so glad to come at a time when you're on your way to recovery! Such good news!
I think about you from time to time, and for the opportunity you gave me, giving me my first programming job. I am forever grateful. Those were good times at C&L.
I look forward to reading more about your recovery on the blog. Best of luck!
Jamie
OK can you imagine a broadway musical about pooping. You know a fart is a turd honking for the right away. What a hysterical broadway musical that could be.
Why is it that everytime I here that party pooping saying I can see Aunt Ruth and Aunt Zora dancing in the 30 gallon trash can with a glass of wine singing this to each guest that is leaving Marla's house in Los Osos. I will never forget that it is embossed in my mind forever.
Kelly I am so happy for you and also for you Marla, I know you both have missed being home and with your animals, husbands and of course all those old habits.
YOU GIRLS ROCK...LOVE YOU.. CHER
TODAY IS THE DAY.....YAHOO

Gina D
OK you two are MIA. I am waiting for the hotel update. Enjoy sleeping in tommorrow.
Hugs and Kisses.....Cher
Nicole ~ We will pay CASH to see Kevin in his '70s suit. We will double the price if it includes him dancing to Jim singing MBOP! If you and Jim do make a trip to Kelly's, please remember this important rule regarding her recovery: SHOW NO MERCY! As for you being a low maintenance house guest, now you sound like Kelly. I only wish someone would have warned me that low maintenance meant I got to wipe butts while being yelled at.
Mo ~ Yes, she was ready to leave and yes they were glad to be rid of us. Those people obviously had no sense of humor.
Cher ~ The blanken phone has not worked in this room since day one so you have to call our cell phones. Sorry for going MIA. I think we are both worn out and hit the wall yesterday. When I read your recollection of Aunties Ruth & Zora I burst out laughing. I will NEVER forget that party at our house. What a great time and memory. You do realize we are now them, right?
Marla,
Your book will be a hit! See you on Oprah next year! So glad you are out of there soon. You are a wonderful sister, loyal and true.
